Kingsley Anowi was born in Nigeria, on October 29th. He moved to Bergen/Norway with his family at the age of 9.
Having been exposed to different cultures, has greatly influenced Kingsley’s musical style. Soul, Jazz, and Reggae music inspire and help Kingsley to express his deepest emotions sonically; while passionately helping others who have the same love for music as he does.
Kingsley was voted as the “Artist of the Week” by NRK Urørt in 2005 for the song “Slow Down,” a year after he released his first album, “Love & Poetry.” This album featured various underground and upcoming artists from Norway such as: Akeron, Freakshow, Sheila Simmenes, Myrna Braza, Jabaman, Stig Van Eijk, LidoLido, Miss Tati & many more.
Kingsley has actively pursued his musical career with great devotion. He feels his heart is always bursting with inspiration from friends, family, the media, and his musical team. More importantly; Kingsley’s love for his 7 year old daughter, Adeline, gives his music all the more reason to continue living.
His goal is to be among those who help to inspire and make a positive impact in the world through their music.
Kingsley Anowi has performed in several places in Bergen and outside of Norway, including but not limited to Denmark.
Rising up, Kingsley is diligently working on his debut Ep,“Faithful” with a release date set on 29 of October 2015.
In 2016 he plans to release an album titled ”Ex-Premintal” with various guest artists.
Additionally, in 2010 Kingsley was cast and featured in the movie, “Varg Veum” as an African student. The movie had its debut in cinemas, January 21st 2011.
2011 Kingsley & Black O won Rapvalg Award (50.000kr) with the song ”Keep on moving”
He is currently featured in a new upcoming feature film entitled, NUMB, along with that, he is one of the main actors in a crime series being produced in Bergen/Norway, MAPLES ”A Witness In The Shadows.”
